Not all dogs like their feet to be touched, but keeping nails trimmed is important for the dog's welfare. Over long nails can make walking uncomfortable, putting pressure on the bones of the feet, and causing changes in gait which leads to pain in other areas of the body.  

Working with your dog's consent, at a pace they are comfortable with, helps to ensure only positive experiences are had with grooming procedures such as nail trims.
