T-touch is a non-invasive, gentle and mindful set of techniques used to gain the trust of animals, enabling them to relax, focus, and build confidence in their position within the environment.
T-touch bodywork includes a series of circular touches, slides, and lifts, performed on various areas of the body.
It is a much lighter touch than a massage, so there is no risk of causing accidental injury, and veterinary consent is not required.
Part of the technique also involves allowing the animal to process the experience, and being aware of the animal's response to it.
Other techniques include the use of wraps, walking on a loose lead, and negotiating obstacles to build confidence with proprioception.
