Zoopharmacognosy is the term given for an animal's ability to self-medicate.
This is possible through the careful selection of specific essential oils, herbs, powders, flower essences, and hydrosols, enabling the animal to choose the remedy they need to heal themselves.
An animal knows instinctively what they require to help them to feel better, and many species have been observed self-medicating in nature.
Zoopharmacognosy is not intended to diagnose medical conditions, but allows an animal choices, through self-selection.
